On the morning of July 24th, the parade route starts at South Temple and State Street, goes east to 200 East, south to 900 South, then east to Liberty Park at 600 East.

Parade - Band
Presented by KSL 5 and Workers Compensation Fund

This fun-filled parade is one of the largest and oldest in the United States.   Colorful floats, bands, horses, clowns, and other entries thrill thousands of spectators each year.

Many camp out on the streets the night before -- just to ensure a great seat to catch it all.  Don't forget to visit the International CultureFest on the evening of July 23rd!  Our CultureFest is packed with good food, activities for the kids and entertainment throughout the evening -- the perfect spot to cool off before you hit the pavement and your sleeping bag for the night!

Keep in mind that due to road construction, the parade will start at State Street and South Temple!

Parade - Cat float

The parade is televised throughout the intermountain area on KSL-TV Channel 5.  Also visit the floats before they roll down the parade route by visiting the Preview Party.  You can see them in air-conditioned comfort at South Towne Expo Center on July 21 and 22.  Learn more about our Preview Party by clicking here.

A limited number of bleacher seat tickets are available for $7 at the Daughters of Utah Pioneers Museum (801.532.6479) or at Zions Bank branches.  Bleachers are located on the east side of 200 East between 400 South and 500 South and also at 109 East South Temple.

Vendor permits for the 2008 parade will be issued in June and July.  Click here to print and complete a copy of the 2008 Vendor Permit Application form.  No sales or distributions are allowed along the parade route on July 24, 2008, without a vendor permit.  For sales or distributions along the parade route, a Vendor Permit Application and the permit fee must be submitted on or before July 11, 2008.  Contact Kathi Izatt at 801.257.7959 to discuss 2008 vendor regulations.

Applications for 2008 parade entries will be accepted until March 1, 2008 (for religious float entries ONLY) or May 1, 2008 (for all other entries).  Please call our Parade Co-Chairs Jim Williams and Jodene Smith (see phone numbers below) for additional information regarding the 2008 parade.
