The Days of ’47 Rodeo promises to be better than ever! The Rodeo has a new home at one of Utah’s premier entertainment arenas, the Maverik Center in West Valley City, located in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley and 10 minutes from downtown Salt Lake. The Rodeo, a must-see event, is consistently voted one of the top rodeos in the nation by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). Don’t miss your chance to see nationally-ranked cowboys and cowgirls compete for great prize money. They’ll be up against Bud and Evelyn’s legendary rodeo stock from the Bar T Rodeo in Chester, Utah.

This year’s entertainment features bareback and saddle bronc riding, bull riding, barrel racing, team roping, steer wrestling and tie-down roping. Bull riders are protected by PRCA bull fighters and barrel man/ rodeo clown Mark Swingler. Look forward to Swingler’s amazing antics and world-famous comedy.

The Rodeo kicks off July 19th with Family Night. Tuesday is Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night. Heroes’ Night will be held on Wednesday, July 21st. Thursday will bring Fiesta Night to the arena on the 22nd. On Friday, the 23rd, we will recognize the Boy Scouts of America. The championship finals on Saturday, the 24th, will include a tribute to our pioneer heritage.

All performances start at 7:00 p.m. from July 19th through 24th.
